Q 'N A - struggling & roadblocks

Hi lovely,

let's get started with todays question!:

The question of today is:

Do you take things as a sign you're on the wrong path or as a challenge to push on through?
I'm constantly met with roadblocks to my art career (mostly in the form of other opportunities, sometimes in the form of rejection) and ask myself this question so, so often.

Dear Katherine,

I know your pain. This is something all of us struggle with from time to time. You’re definitely not alone! When it comes to this question I always share this interview Marie Forleo did with Elizabeth Gilbert. It is so great and it will help you get clearance on if you want to go further on the journey you’re on right now. Even if you’re going through a hard time.

You’ve mention you’re not only struggling with rejection, but also with staying focused on the journey you’re on right now. I would like to ask you to think about the following:

Did you consciously choose for the path you’re on right now?

Did you expect all the struggles you are going through?

Did you think about all the things you won't be able to do because you’re going to do something else?

Think about it!

Saying yes to any journey will mean you say no to something else. Make sure you want to do this for real with all the consequences that it will have.

But don't think that only because you choose for something everything will get easy. It won't!

Choosing for something will only help you stay more focused. It will be as hard as it was before, but you know what you want and you can base your decisions on that.

I hope this answer helps you. I know there is no magic answer. We’re all searching for clues.

One think I need to add is trust your gut. Don't over think decisions, take a look at the facts and then listen to your gut!

So there you have it!

Thanks a lot Katherine for submitting your question!  I hope this answers helps you!
