Hi lovely,

let's get started with todays question!:

The question of today is:

Where do you get inspiration from? How do you get your creative juices flowing?

This is such a personal question! I think when you find something that inspires you, you need to collect it. For me inspiration has a thousand different faces.

Therefor I collect books, images of things, objects out of nature, I have list of places that inspire me,... This collection fuels me!

I try to fuel me all the time, so that I don't get into the position of being uninspired. As a professional creative I am convinced that it is your job to stay inspired. You need to take care of your inspiration. Because even when some people say they wait for their muse, I am convinced that it is all in us. We just need to find a way to get it out.

Waiting for the muse to come is something for a hobbyist.

If you want to be a professional you need to take care of yourself and you need to teach yourself how to get into work mode.

I know that there are times that it is hard to start working on your creative projects.

In those times I take out my collection of inspirational things, take a moment to go through them and then just start working. The first couple of sketches I make might suck, but after a while I get into it and it starts flowing again.

I'm not that good in describing what I mean. But I have three books for your that will help you with this question! I named them already in a previous answer, but they’re just so important for creatives!

'The war of art, Break through the blocks and win your inner creative battles.', Steven Pressfield

'Turning Pro, Tap your inner Power and Create your life's work', Steven Pressfield

'Manage your DAY-TO-DAY. Build a routine, find your focus & sharpen your creative mind', edited by Jocelyn K.Glei,

So go and read those book and start collecting things that inspire you!
