Everybody is hanging out in different places

Everybody is hanging out in different places

Why you should not only use your blog in order to grow your list, but why also be on other platforms as well.

So the thing with social media, guest posting and other activities is that you use those platforms in order to reach new people. Everybody is hanging out in different places and by utilizing only one place those people would have to find your blog or website directly.

And because this scenario is a little uncommon, especially when you’re just starting out, you want to be out there as much as possible.

That way, you can create as many touch points with your audience as possible. From those touch points you can then help them find their way to your website, blog and email list.

The goal when it comes to using your blog, social media and other platforms is to let people get to know you and for you to get to know them better.

Just like in real life, you have a much stronger connection with your friends that know you inside and out and who you know inside out, then with a stranger that is just passing by.

BIZ-book love: BIG MAGIC

BIZ-book love: BIG MAGIC

Back in art-school I struggled a lot with the opinions of my teachers about what making art and creative living is supposed to be like.

For me creating art and experiencing art was positive, it had/has nothing to do with living in pain and punishing myself. I was striving to create beauty, but I felt as if my work could only be good if I was addressing a big topic that is important to all mankind. Or at least I would need to do something provocative (yes, I created a collage with hundreds of penises on it :)) or that I would need to create work because of my family history.

Still this perception of art and creative living is haunting me.
